Get answers to common questions about V-STEAM.
A V-STEAM is a gentle, herbal vaginal steam where you sit over simmering botanicals. Warmth and herb vapors are intended to soothe tissues, support circulation and promote relaxation. Sessions are relaxing and non-invasive, tailored by therapist to your needs.
V-steam is not recommended for pregnant women, anyone with active vaginal infections, open sores, recent pelvic surgery, severe heart conditions, or uncontrolled hypertension. Always consult your medical provider and disclose medications or health issues so we can assess safety and adapt treatment.
We recommend hydrating, avoiding douching or intimate products 24 hours before, and refraining from sexual intercourse for 24 hours. Arrive relaxed, and inform therapist about medical history, pregnancy status, or current infections. Wear comfortable clothing for easy transition.
We use gentle botanicals like mugwort, chamomile, lavender, rosemary and rose petals for anti-inflammatory, calming, and circulation-supporting properties. Blends are customized to your needs; we avoid strong stimulants and follow safety guidelines to minimize irritation.
Sessions usually last 30 to 45 minutes including consultation and rest time; the steam portion is generally 15 to 25 minutes. Final time varies by comfort, experience, and customization. We allow quiet time afterward to relax and rehydrate.
Frequency depends on goals and medical history: many clients start with monthly sessions for three months, then adjust to every 4–8 weeks. We create a personalized plan during consultation and monitor comfort, response, and any underlying issues.
